We Spend the next 2 days exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, giving a great opportunity to explore all through the kopjes and riverine areas. Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest park and contains a plethora of animals and is popular for the annual migration of wildebeests. During the day, we pause for a picnic lunch in the African wilderness. Here we will hopefully see the Big Five of Africa (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo), as well as a dazzling assortment of other wildlife. After a remarkable day on safari in Serengeti National Park, we return to our accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
This is yet another day to explore Serengeti’s varied zones on unbeaten game drives. Should your travel dates be in the months between December to April, you should come well braced for the thrilling migration as it happens in the central and southern part of Serengeti National Park. We can have a full day to track the herds, lions hunts are also not uncommon during this time of the year. After an unforgettable day, we will return to our accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and our overnight sleep on The Endless Plain.
We rise early and drive to Ngorongoro for the crater tour. We descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor, taking in stunning views of the world’s largest unflooded caldera on the way down. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
After a rewarding game drive in this World Heritage Site, we drive out of the crater to transfer back to Arusha late afternoon and arrive in the evening where you will be dropped off at your hotel
